2020 Digital Commonwealth Annual Conference

  • For active and pending renewal members of Digital Commonwealth only
  • In order to qualify for a discounted student registration, you must meet all of the following criteria:

    a) be an undergraduate or graduate student in a program relating to libraries and/or archives
    b) be enrolled in two or more classes for the current semester

Digital Commonwealth's 14th Annual Conference, centered around the theme of "Contextual Conversations: Representation and Digital Practice", will be held at the Hogan Center, College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA on Tuesday April 7th, 2020 from 8:00am-4:00pm..

The keynote speaker will be Elaine Westbrooks, Vice Provost of University Libraries & University Librarian at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

An annual update on the Digital Commonwealth Collection's Wooden Anniversary will be given during lunch by Eben English, Digital Repository Services Manager at the Boston Public Library.

The topics of: contextualizing collections concerning underrepresented communities; collaboration with underrepresented communities; developing inclusive discovery tools; representation in digitization; and interpretation in digital environments, will be explored through panel discussions, quick fire discussion sessions amongst participants, and other presentations.

Early registration (through March 9, 2020) is $110 (members), $145 (non-members).

After March 9, 2020, registration is $125 (members), $160 (non-members).

Registration Terms and Conditions

All conference registrations must be paid in full on or before March 30, 2020 unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with the Conference Event Manager at digitalcommonwealth@gmail.com, otherwise your registration may be subject to cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: Digital Commonwealth allows individuals to register and request an invoice to enable their organizations to settle the invoice. However, if you register and request an invoice but the invoice is not paid in full by March 30, 2020, or your registration is not canceled prior to the date specified in the Cancellation and Transfer Policy, you will be liable for the full amount of the invoice, regardless of whether or not you attend the conference.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy

Paid registrations cancelled on or before March 24, 2020 will be refunded in full. Cancellations received after March 24, 2020 will not be refunded. Substitutions may be made at any time until the day of the conference without charge. All cancellations and substitutions must be communicated in writing by email to the Digital Commonwealth Conference Event Manager at digitalcommonwealth@gmail.com.

Code of Conduct

The Digital Commonwealth Board has adopted a Code of Conduct for the conference. All conference attendees will be required to acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct for the duration of the Conference.
