2019 Digital Commonwealth Annual Conference

Registration

  • For active and pending renewal members of Digital Commonwealth only
  • In order to qualify for a complimentary student registration, you must meet all of the following criteria:

    a) be a full time undergraduate or graduate student in a program relating to libraries and/or archives
    b) be enrolled in two or more classes for the current semester
    c) agree to write a blog post entry on the conference
  • In order to qualify for a discounted student registration, you must meet all of the following criteria:

    a) be a full time undergraduate or graduate student in a program relating to libraries and/or archives
    b) be enrolled in two or more classes for the current semester


Responsibilities in the Digital Age

Digital Commonwealth's 13th Annual Conference, centered around the theme of "Responsibilities in the Digital Age", will be held at the Hogan Center, College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA on Tuesday April 9th, 2019.

The keynote speaker is Peter Hirtle, Alumni Fellow of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University, who will speak on “Learning to Live with the Legal Risks of Digital Collections”.

An annual update on the Digital Commonwealth Collection's Wooden Anniversary will be given during lunch by Eben English, Digital Repository Services Manager at the Boston Public Library.

Nine other speakers in three parallel break out sessions will address varying topics centered around the overall theme. 

Early registration (extended through March 22, 2019) is $110 (members), $145 (non-members).

After March 22, 2019, registration is $125 (members), $160 (non-members).

Registration Terms and Conditions

All conference registrations must be paid in full on or before April 2, 2019 unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with the Conference Event Manager at conferencemanager@digitalcommonwealth.org, otherwise your registration may be subject to cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: Digital Commonwealth allows individuals to register and request an invoice to enable their organizations to settle the invoice. However, if you register and request an invoice but the invoice is not paid in full by April 2, 2019, or your registration is not canceled prior to the date specified in the Cancellation and Transfer Policy, you will be liable for the full amount of the invoice.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy

Paid registrations cancelled on or before March 26, 2019 will be refunded in full. Cancellations received after March 26, 2019 will not be refunded. Substitutions may be made at any time until the day of the conference without charge. All cancellations and substitutions must be communicated in writing by email to the Digital Commonwealth Conference Event Manager at conferencemanager@digitalcommonwealth.org
